“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.”
Flora Whittemore
We walk though doors every day. They are as common as a foot step and usually overlooked. I can count on one hand the number of times I have walked through a door that has made me pause in the moment. One incident that stands out considerably is when I was in Los Angeles with my brother. As we were walking down the street to our next destination I spotted a door made of hand carved wood. At that point I realized the experience commences at the entry. I was so enamored I convinced myself I wouldn't leave the city without it. Unfortunately, I left L.A with only a picture. Mark my words...I will one day return to Georgia with that flawless door.
THE door. perfect.
love.
door made of beer bottles. creative.
i'll have these one day. obsessed.
what's on the other side?
this is where my fairytale starts.
Always open the door...in the words of Katy Perry..."Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed so you could open one that leads you to the perfect road"
Heres to finding the perfect road.
xoxo

OMG. you are so right ashley! everytime i walk INTO a place i immediatly look at the interior and whats going on and its funny that i dont ever take notice in what im walking through. I think that the designer should take that into consideration when designing, its like your preparing the viewer for the room, like a preview.
This is great - I have always been fascinated with doors - from the modern to the most intricate. All the images above add interest and character and create a story all themselves. It can be a focal point that intrigues people just like it did with you in LA. You are spot on with saying they are as common as a footstep - so why not make them one to remember!
