“The brick walls are there for a reason. They are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something.”
Randy Pausch- The Last Lecture
The Last Lecture is one of those books I can’t keep on the shelf because I want everyone to read it. I am constantly lending it to the next person. The quote above sums up my last few weeks...it has been quite a ride. In class we are designing exhibitions pertaining to global change. My topic, urbanization, is a fairly new concern and honestly, scares the beejeezus out of me. Such is life...design most go on. The exhibit will focus on the following topics: population, solutions, biomimicry and the Atlanta belt line. Urbanization is a universal concern so it was important to break it down into key issues. The previous posts were part of my research phase. This is where I immersed myself in theses, lectures, articles, books and websites. Below is the process inside my head on paper...WARNING: if you haven't read/watched the last few post this will be a foreign mess! This will be my first attempt at exhibition work. I am excited and overwhelmed with the possibilities. Who knows one day you might be planning a trip to visit my exhibition…hope to see you there...
Best’s xoxo
